Reported problem
Dripping from the bathroom ceiling below whenever the bathroom above was used.
Inspection findings
Two failed joints on the waste pipe run inside the ceiling void: the floor trap outlet and an elbow further along.
Testing conducted
Ceiling panel opened, flow test run through the shower and floor trap above, leak points marked as the water appeared.
Repair scope
Old fittings cut out, waste pipe run replaced with new pipework and solvent-welded joints, flow test repeated dry.
Outcome
No further dripping. Ceiling panel reinstated after the monitoring period.
